Meeting called to order at 7:03pm by pres. John Erwin

Congratulations given to David W. for new position of President of MC
Chicagoland club is now fully paid up past monies to MC
New MC website should be up and running by 3/31
Sanction fees will not be waived for the 2017 season
Fee (sanction) increase W2W $6 to $10 AX $11 to $12 HPDE reduced $10 to 0
Lakeshore presented a t-shirt promotion for the 2017 season. Not approved by council vote,
Lakeshore logo was only represented on tee. They need to represent all clubs for further
consideration.
A April 1st tech date at Wheeler’s for preseason car inspection and medical.
$21.000 loaned to Lakeshore and Madison for down payment for their RA race date.
Finance committee to meet quarterly. There will be a concentrated effort on developing new
sponsorships.
Future MC race scheduling time line to be announced earlier in the year than in the past.
MC Finances: Up to date with a payment expected for web site improvements.
Old Business:
John E. thanked everyone who attended the GLSCC banquet. Very successful with much
positive feedback. Suggested returning. 48 attended.
Member awards: Emily Rembas W2W driver of the year, Brandon Bockrath AX driver of the
year, David Wessel Member of the year and Gary Glojek received the Spirit award honoring
Pauline Goertz’s full of life spirit to the club.
Paul Rembas received a special award as Chef of the Year for his ability not to burn the brats.
New Business:
Discussion on having race school at the Mile.
This summer’s car show at Quaker Steak n Lube. Date to choose from was May 4, June 1,
July 6 and (#1 choice) Aug 3. Alternate car show suggested is a Wed. at the Veloce
go-kart track in Waukesha. This seemed to be the preferred show.
Channel 10 auction, we are donating 3-4 HPDE entries to our race.
Asking members to provide more material to GLSCC website. Car write-up, tech Info and car
related links.
March 3/21 is the planned date for our indoor kart event at Velocity. Will start at 7:00pm so
We can organize race groups. There is a signup sheet with Jeff J.
